Central Africa Republic military has been boosted with the presence of trainers from Europe.
They are assisting with combat training and marksmanship of the troops.
But the U.N. arms embargo is still in place, and the nation is yet to be able to purchase arms on its own since the war broke out.
European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA) had stated in November 2016 that the first battalion for the new Central African Armed Forces (FACA) should be fully trained by mid-2017.
EUTM RCA was launched on 16 July 2016 with EU funding of USD13.3 million and 170 personnel.
