The South African government has sacked the board of its energy firm, Petro-SA, over poor performace of the company.
Earlier, queries were issued to the board members against the backdrop of the company’s financial crisis.
A member of parliament, Gordon Mackay, backs the government’s decision, saying the action was overdue.
Financial crisis at Petro-SA peaked earlier this year when it reported a loss of more than $150 million.
