The meeting of the South West Governors Forum earlier scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2017, in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State has been postponed.
The postponement notice was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State governor on Media, Adejuwon Soyinka, in Abeokuta on Monday.
According to the statement, the reason for this was to honour the late Director-General, Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, (DAWN) Commission, Dipo Famakinwa.
The statement read in part, “The South West Governors have decided to put the meeting on hold in honour of the Director -General of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, DAWN Commission, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa, who sadly passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017.
“While we regret any inconveniences this might have caused, a future date for the meeting will be duly communicated.”
