Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles gear up for their opening game at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup against Italy on Thursday in Nassau, the Bahamas.
Sand eagles player Bartholomew Ibenegbu expects the clash to be a difficult contest, but he is confident of victory.
Nigeria will also take on Mexico and Iran in other group matches.
Nigeria participated in four of the previous eight FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups.
The team made it to the quarter-finals in Rio de Janeiro in 2007 and in Ravenna, Italy in 2011.
