The suspended Secretary to the government of the federation, Babachir David Lawal on Thursday failed to appear before the Senate Committee set up to investigate alleged corruption charges against him.
Our Correspondent reports that the meeting which was billed to commence at 10:00am local time failed to hold due to the absence of the suspended secretary.
The Senate had invited Lawal to appear before it on Thursday to answer the allegations of corruption against him over the award of 220 million naira for grass cutting in the Northeast to his company, Rholavision.
In a statement sent to TVC News by the Chairman of the Senate Adhoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the Northeast, Senator Shehu Sani, the suspended SGF is to appear for the rescheduled investigative hearing at 10am.
