Three prisons officers suspended over Ngalari’s release

Three senior prisons officers have been suspended over the controversial release of former Adamawa State governor, Bala Ngilari, from jail.

They were indicted for their roles in the issuance of an unauthorised medical report on which Ngilari was granted bail.

Last week, a court granted him bail on health grounds, after a letter from the prisons service was presented.

But prison authorities say that letter was fraudulent.

Ngilari was jailed for corruption.
