Former England international Ugo Ehiogu has died at the age of 44 after collapsing at Tottenham’s training ground.
Ehiogu had been working as an U23 coach at Spurs and was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack on Thursday.
A statement from Spurs, released on Friday, announced Ehiogu passed away “in the early hours of this morning”.
Ehiogu has been at Spurs since 2014.
He made over 200 appearances for Aston Villa between 1991 and 2000 and then spent seven years at Middlesbrough.
Ehiogu, who was capped four times by England, also played for West Brom, Leeds, Rangers and Sheffield United before retiring in 2009.
