Violence Extremism: Stakeholders in Yobe brainstorm on the way forward

TVC N. Religious and traditional leaders in Yobe state north east Nigeria have converged in Geidam community to

address issues aimed at countering extremism among the diverse people living in the state. The programme was Organised by the Yobe state Ministry for Religious

Affairs (MORA) in collaboration with the North East Regional Initiative (NERI).The session had in attendance security agencies, government organizations, and youth groups.

It aims to examine the causes of Boko Haram insurgency and how best to tackle extremism through tolerance, harmony and good foresight. Emir of Ngazargamu, His Royal Highness Tujjani Saleh Geidam assured that the traditional institution within his jurisdiction will work assiduously toward finding lasting peace.
