The Federation’s National President, Emeka Onyeama, made the presented equipment to the the state’s Commissioner for Youth Affairs and Sports Development, Malam Mamman Musa in Minna.
Onyema, who did not give the cost of the equipment, said that prior to the emergence of his national executive, many Nigerians were ignorant of the game.
“Now that we have made Nigerians to know the game of cricket, we are handing over these starter kits to you to teach young students how to play cricket from the grass roots,’’ he said.
He said that the federation had established two ovals for cricket at package “B’’ of the Abuja National, Stadium.
The president then, solicited for support of the state association in the coming national elections.
