One hundred and twenty-six municipalities across the Canadian province of Quebec are now considered part of flood zones.
Parts of Canada were hit by torrential rains on Saturday, causing some of the worst flooding in decades with the number of homes affected reaching thousands.
A state of emergency has been declared in some areas and this will be in place for 48 hours afterwards the situation will be reviewed.
A mandatory evacuation of residents order has also been issued.
Local media reported that the Canadian military will deploy about 1,200 troops to help deal with the flooding.
