Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has expressed appreciation to tax payers in the state for performing their civic responsibilities.
He said this during the inauguration of eight network of roads in Epe and Kosofe local government area of the state.
Kareemah Salami reports that the government’s transformation agenda, typified by mega city projects across the state, is proceeding fine.
As the state clocks 50 in a couple of days, the Governor is inaugurating projects in virtually all divisions in the state.
The Governor’s train berthed at Epe on Friday where he inaugurated some reconstructed and upgraded roads. Ambode thanked the people for their support and promised to deliver more roads.
The governor noted that the road projects would be delivered through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, while a memorandum of understanding to that effect would be signed next week.
From there the governor moved to Kosofe where he inaugurated eight roads. Ambode noted that tax payers money had been judiciously utilised to make life comfortable for the people through the implementation of several
projects.
The upgraded roads include Omotayo Banwo, Kola Iyaomolere, among other streets.
Some of the party leaders expressed happiness that the efforts of the administration were paying off.
The Lagos Governor urged the people to always get the necessary permit before embarking on any construction to prevent demolition of structures for future road projects.
