Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has expressed his delight
as well as disappointment after making his Bundesliga debut for Wolfsburg in their 1-1 home draw against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer Osimhen, who is in the senior Nigeria squad for the friendly with Corsica, was introduced in the 59th minute for Daniel Didavi for his first ever Bundesliga appearance.
The excited 18-year-old however lamented his team’s 1-1 draw against Monchengladbach.
But he expressed confidence that Wolfsburg who are 15th on 37 points in the league table, two points off the relegation zone, can beat the drop.
“Thanks to God for my debut, not the result we wanted but we keep our fingers crossed and fight till the end,” Osimhen wrote on his Instagram page.
