For the first time, the National Assembly has released details of its annual budgetary allocation. The lawmakers jerked up executive estimates from 115 billion naira to 125 billion.
In the breakdown, the Senate gets 31 billion naira, the House of Representatives, 49 billion, and the National Assembly management has 15 billion.
Legislative aides have been allocated 9.6billion naira, National Assembly Commission has 2 billion naira and the Legislative Institute 4 billion naira.
While a further breakdown of the lawmakers’ earnings is yet to be done, members describe the development as a promise kept.
