Six Nigerian traditional wrestlers have arrived in Senegal for the 8th ECOWAS Wrestling Tournament scheduled to hold from May the 12th to 14th in Dakar.
The Secretary-General of the Traditional Sports Federation of Nigeria Etim Udokang says the wrestlers were selected for the tournament after national trials in Bayelsa State.
The six athletes are Arasafa Zeinweritein, Ekerekemel Agiomor, Melvin Bibo, Robert Daufa, Sinivie Boltic and Sunday Opiah.
Nigeria are currently ranked number three in Africa and would feature in five categories at the events.
