U.S. President Donald Trump is attending the Gulf Corporation Council meeting in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier he had individual meetings with Arab leaders of Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait and Oman on Sunday on his second day of visit to Saudi Arabia.
Trump told Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani they would discuss “lots of beautiful military equipment because nobody makes it like the United States.”
In a meeting with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa, Trump declared that the two nations had a lot in common and that despite previous tensions, “there won’t be strain with this administration.”
Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia, Israel, Italy, the Vatican and Belgium has been billed by the White House as a chance to visit places sacred to three of the world’s major religions, while giving Trump time to meet with Arab, Israeli and European leaders.
