The House of Representatives Committee on Sports has set up a committee to look into the petitions by 11 National Sports Federations on their dissolution by sports minister Solomon Dalung.
A statement by Dalung’s media aide, Nneka Anibeze, listed the 11 federations as aquatics, boxing, cycling, golf, hockey, kick boxing, kung fu, rowing, sailing and yachting, scrabble, shooting and rugby.
The board of the 11 federations insist their tenure will end in November.
But the elections will hold on June 13.
Dalung has appealed to the House to be served copies of the petitions before summoning him to appear for defence.
The set-up committee is headed by the Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Anayo Nnebe.
