Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has promised a better display by his team after his first defeat in the hands of South Africa on Saturday.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles next face African champions, Cameroon in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in August. The Eagles lost 0-2 to the Bafana Bafana in a 2019 AFCON qualifier in Uyo.
It was the first time the country lost to the South Africans in a competitive game, ending Rohr’s unbeaten record.
Rohr criticised his team’s lacklustre performance, but now shifts focus to the clash with the Indomitable Lions on August 28 in Uyo.
The coach has promised disappointing Nigerian football fans that his team will bounce back after their disastrous outing against South Africa.
