Image result for aKWA iBOM STADIUMThe Akwa Ibom State Government has demanded an apology from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, over reports it wants to move the Super Eagles home games away from Uyo.

Reports emanated last week that the NFF is considering moving the Eagles home matches to Port-Harcourt following poor results at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The Eagles lost in a competitive game for the first time to South Africa on the 10th of June in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Nigeria has won only two competitive matches at the stadium since it was opened in 2014.

But the State’s Commissioner of Information and strategy, Charles Udoh, says the NFF should apologise to the people of Akwa Ibom who have supported the team all this while.
