Ogun State government has declared its support for the National Youth Service Corps’ Agricultural Scheme in order to encourage Youth to venture into Agriculture.
Ogun governor Ibikunle Amosun made this known during the passing out parade of the 2017 Batch A, stream 1 corps members, held at NYSC Orientation Camp in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Amosun who was represented by the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Moruf Afuape said no society can progress without the support of its youths and urged the Corps members to ensure that they contribute their quota to
the development of the country.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Gladys Mbachi while speaking on what they have done to assist corps members in their choosing trade or vocation said NYSC is in partnership with major financial institutions to assist them with
loans.
With a Gross Domestic product, GDP, of a Hundred trillion per annum, Nigeria can be amongst the top hundred economies in the world, if it gets its act right.
That’s according to the Executive director, Bank of Industry Waheed Olagunju.
Waheed was speaking at a faith based programme for Muslim faithfuls, which was aimed at providing enlightenment on how to harness business opportunities in the country.
He pointed out that Recession, was the ideal time to go into any form of business.
