The Special Intelligence Response Team of Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police says it has arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping of six students of Model College, Igbonla, Lagos.
Assistant commissioner of police, Abba Kyari, said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday in Benin city, the Edo state capital.
He says the suspects have confessed to taking part in the abduction of prominent persons in Lagos and Ogun States.
He adds that efforts are ongoing to free of the school children.
