Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme has returned to training after recovering from an hamstring injury, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper has been out of action since March, but on Tuesday he posted a picture of himself on his Twitter handle exercising on a treadmill in a gym, suggesting that he is close to full fitness.
News about his return will be a big boost to Nigeria coach Gernor Rohr whose side will face Cameroon in a 2018 World Cup qualifier in August.
Ikeme wrote beneath the picture he posted: ” Work (with an emoji of a flexed biceps and a football icon)….
Ikeme made 33 appearances in all competitions for Wolves last season, keeping ten clean sheets but conceding 36 goals.
He has also made nine international appearances for the Super Eagles since making his debut in 2016, conceding four goals and keeping six clean sheets.
