Barely a week after a joint mass protest by health workers at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Idiaraba, Resident Doctors on Wednesday staged another protest over the eviction of residents doctors from their lounge by the hospital management .
Health Correspondent Oluwatoyin Aboh reports that it was a rowdy session at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos on Wednesday when Television continental arrived.
Resident doctors accused the LUTH management of starting these rowdy scenes when it invited Police into the complex.
The doctors say the management has been insensitive to the of condition of workers, arguing that it is telling on the quality of experience patients are offered.
But the chairman of the medical advisory committee has a counter explanation. He says the doctors are only being dramatic.
Meanwhile those caught in the middle of this raging controversy are patients. Their only hope is that all parties will come to a quick and lasting resolution.
