The Joint Labour Union in Abia state has praised the governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his leadership style of governance and his ambitions to make the state great, through promotion of locally made goods.
The union leader Uchenna Obigwe also commended Ikpeazu for partnering with the Union in disbursement of the paris club bailout funds to pay the workers in the state.
Addressing the Labour team, Ikpeazu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to carry the state workforce along as he serves the people. He also commended the cordial relationship existing between the state government and the labour force, emphasising that if the relationship continues it will make Abia state a reference point to the nation.
Ikpeazu stated that his administration could not have achieved the much it has so far without the coexistence of the workers. He lauded the NLC for chosen the pact of dialogue and refusing to become tools in the hands of the enemies of the state.
The governor announced that he would invite the Labour union in the state to be part of the decision making when the second batch of the Paris club bailout funds reaches the state.
