Police authorities in Ondo state have apprehended six suspects for allegedly killing a chieftain of the of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Olumide Odimayo in the state.
The lifeless body of Odimayo who was kidnapped last Thursday was found by local vigilantes near Ogolo in Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state.
Gunmen had abducted Odimayo popularly called “Londoner” at his home in Igbotu community demanding for ransom before they could set him free.
But the spokesperson of the state police command, Femi Joseph who confirmed the development, said the suspects arrested in connection with the murder will be charged to court.
Joseph who described the incident as unfortunate, said the APC chieftain was killed on the waterways.
