The market women who all held their old traditional measuring tool popularly called “Kongo”, said the use of weighing scale should start in various farm markets from where they all buy their goods.
Addressing the protesters, Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce, Femi Popoola reiterated that the introduction of weighing scale is in the interest of all stakeholders, noting that the protest demonstrates their need for education and enlightenment.
