The new Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede says his vision is to develop the institution into the incubator for national policy research and development.
Prof. Ogunbodede who spoke while delivering his inauguration speech said the goal is achievable with the resources the university is endowed with.
He said his administration will encourage the creation and promotion of innovative ideas, projects and programmes.
The new Vice chancellor also promised to encourage and translate into action relevant researches that focus on resolving national challenges and impacting on national policies and development.
Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife had been plagued with the VC tussle for almost a year now.
Ogunmodede is the 11th substantive Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun state.
