The House of Representatives has said it’s members will not appear before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) until the anti-graft agency routes it’s invitation through Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.
The EFCC had invited Minority Leader, Leo Ogor and twelve others in the first batch of those to be interrogated over the alleged N284 billion padding of last year’s budget.
The House of Representatives said Ogor, would not appear before the EFCC if that condition is not met.
But the commission is weighing its options on whether or not to accept the condition.
It was however learnt that any member who fails to report to the EFCC might be arrested since representatives do not enjoy immunity.
