French oil company, TOTAL, has denied allegation that it owes Akwa Ibom State government the sum of N25 billion in unremitted personal income tax.
TOTAL stated that it operated no office from Akwa Ibom just as it had no staff resident in the state.
The company said that its offshore exploration contracts with communities had been carefully executed while withholding tax from the contracts had equally been paid to the state.
