The ongoing strike embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has continued to paralyse academic and social activities at the Federal University of technology, Akure (FUTA) in Ondo state.
TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo who visited the institution and reports that most of the students, who refused to go home, want government and the lecturers to resolve the crisis amicably.
Some of the students were seen loitering around, in the absence of lectures.
The lecture rooms were literally deserted, as the lecturers complied with the strike directive.
The students want the negotiations between government and ASUU officials to yield positive results.
