Popular media personality, co-host on TVC’s “Your View” Show, Tope Mark Odigie,
has said on no account should a sane woman decide and deliberately get pregnant for a man just with the intention of luring him to marriage.
In her words: ”If you deliberately plan to get pregnant to keep a man, the marriage will fail, It is in those days women play that trick and it works for them, although most of them do not have a happy home at the end. I personally do not agree to it. Men used to respect women without touching them until marriage,but evolution has changed all that. It doesn’t serve any purpose getting pregnant consciously with the hope that the man will marry you.”
The mother of two made this statement during the TVC YourView show on Friday with the topic of discussion tagged – Can a pregnancy make a man marry? .
There were lot of controversies as to why ladies do it. Research shows that about 75 percent of ladies do it in desperation.
The discussants which includes: Morayo Afolabi Brown, Jumoke Alawode James, Tope Odige and Nyma Akasha, added that majority of the music stars have baby mamas because the girls they date use pregnancies to make the guys stick with them, that is why some of them have different kids with numerous baby mamas, the likes of Tuface Idibia, Davido, Wizkid and some others.
Morayo Afolabi Brown brought to the notice of the discussant of porpular musical artist, Adekunle Gold, who said, ”the only way women propose to men is by getting married. ”
The wife to the general Overseer of Royalty Christian Centre, who is also a Baby mama to music legend 2face idibia, Sumbo Adeoye, has taken to facebook to advice women on being baby mamas.
According to her, ‘a baby can never make a man stick with you, take that from me. Move on and stop looking back at your past decisions, look at the positive side of your past experience.
