Late Danbaba Suntai’ younger brother dies

Hardly had the former governor Dambaba Suntai of Taraba State being lowered into the grave yesterday that his younger brother, Babangida Suntai died while receiving intensive care at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jalingo.

TVC News reporter learnt that he gave up the ghost almost same time his elder brother was being committed to mother earth.

Younger Suntai had before now been at the FMC Jalingo but gave up the ghost as the former governor was being lowered down the grave.

Reacting, Governor Darius Ishaku and the Speaker of the state Assembly, Peter Abel expressed shock that Babangida’s death came hours after the former governor was buried.

Ishaku, in a statement by his Press Director, Hassan Minjiyawa described Babangida Suntai as a comfortable young man in his own class, praying God to grant his soul eternal rest, while the Speaker called on well meaning Nigerians to join the family in prayers.

Many Tarabans, who sympathised with the family described the incident as too bitter pill to be swallowed.
