The Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc and the Transmission Company of Nigeria are set to finalise and execute power sale agreements with Niger and the Republic of Benin.
The power firms are the Société Nigerienne d’Electricité and Communauté Electrique du Bénin
The two international customers are to immediately pay up their outstanding electricity debts worth $115.91 million to the Nigerian electricity market.
As part of existing bilateral relations, Nigeria supplies up to 500 megawatts of electricity to the neighbouring countries of Togo, Benin Republic and Niger Republic.
