South Africa’s telecoms services provider, VODACOM, has apologised to customers for airtime and data disappearance.
The company gave the apology as users took to social media to denounce the loss of data and airtime on Monday night.
Vodacom Spokesman, Byron Kennedy, in a statement attributed the incident to fault in the company’s billing system.
He said that the affected customers would be compensated.
South Africa’s National Consumer Commission is believed to be investigating the issue.
