The chairman of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State Yusufu Muhhamad says hunters have killed two Boko Haram leaders in an ambush.
And the spokesperson of the hunters, Ali Hammajabu says his men successfully prevented an attempted massive raid on Bitu, Gadamayo and Bakin Dutsi villages.
The suspected terrorists who were on their way to attack selected communities were ambushed by the hunters who received intelligence report of the their intentions.
Boko Haram had attacked Nyibango and Muduvu communities in the late hours of Monday, burning buildings and animals.
Earlier this month, seven people died and 10 were injured in another attack on Mildu village.
