The Nigerian army has described as false, a purported report in a section of the media that seven Local Government Areas in Borno state are currently under the control of the terrorist Boko Haram sect.
The Deputy Director Public Relations, Lafiya Dole, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, said one Buba Galadima had claimed in an interview that ‘Seven Local Governments Areas of Borno State were still under control of Boko Haram terrorists’, even though he failed to provide the names of those Local Government Areas.
He claimed that an almost defeated terrorist sect which is currently on the run can not be in control of any local government.
