Bayelsa.
Oil pollution is mainly caused by the failure of International Oil Companies’ equipment and also sabotage.
Perhaps more disturbing is pollution by illegal refineries where the waste is discarded into the sea, rivers and lakes after distilling diesel, petrol and kerosene from crude.
At the Engineer Professor Telimoye Oguara Public Lecture, the Bayelsa State Deputy governor suggests a solution to the problem.
