The Bayelsa government has restated its commitment to quality healthcare delivery for the indigenes and residents of the state.
Speaking to journalists at the tenth anniversary lecture of the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor emphasized the role of training and research for effective service delivery.
Correspondent Ovieteme George reports that activities marking the anniversary of the state owned University Teaching Hospital started with “A Road Work For Health” through the Melford Okilo road and terminated at the Bayelsa State Secretariat.
Deputy Governor Gboribiogha Jonah was Special Guest of Honour at the tenth anniversary lecture of the NDUTH where he emphasized the importance of research and training of medical personnel for effective service delivery.
Guest Speaker Professor Akin Osibogun and the NDUTH Chief Medical Director speak on partnership beyond the state government.
The theme of the ten year anniversary lecture is “Tertiary Healthcare Delivery In Nigeria : Challenges And Prospects”.
