The Nigerian Army said suspected Boko Haram bicycle-riding terrorists were killed on Monday by Mobile Strike Teams during an ambush along Firgi- Banki Junction road, in Borno State.
The special military bike riders had been clearing the way for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who was heading into the town for the inauguration of the Federal Government’s Emergency Food Intervention in the North-East.
According to Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, Director of Army Public Relations, the troops neutralized a large number of the Boko Haram terrorists, while other terrorists sustained gun shot wounds.
