The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu has met behind a closed with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso rock villa.
Kachikwu arrived the President’s office at about 11.30 am on Friday. This meeting is coming after the leak of a memo from the minister to the president, wherein Kachikwu accused the NNPC’s Group Managing Director,Maikanti Baru of insubordination and violation of due process.
Meanwhile, The Peoples Democratic Party has demanded Baru’s immediate suspension and investigation.
The PDP has also criticised President Muhammadu Buhari’s silence over corruption allegations against some cabinet members and top government officials while members of the opposition are hounded by anti-graft agencies.
