President Muhammadu Buhari has charged Nigerians on the need to embrace, appreciate and promote their culture the more, for betterment of the country.
The president stated this during the annual Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State on Saturday.
Represented by the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, the President appreciated Ooni Ogunwusi for his contribution in the promotion of peace and National unity.
Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola who was also represented by his Special Adviser on Tourism and Culture Taiwo Oluga harped on the need to preserve the Yoruba culture and tradition.
The festival which featured cultural displays by various troupes and special homage paid to the traditional was attended by tourists from within and outside the country.
The festival also saw the Ooni of Ife coming out of his seven day Seclusion with Ade Are usually worn once in a year.
Olojo Festival is an annual traditional event in Ile-Ife, Osun state which Yoruba history says means the creation of day.
