Resident Doctors in Nigeria have urged Chief Executives of state teaching hospitals to imitate the Federal Government’s steps, towards resolving their members’ labour challenges.
They have also pledged to engage the Nigerian Governors Forum on how such issues in the health sector can be taken care of.
The newly elected President of the National Association of Resident Doctors, Ugochukwu Chinaka disclosed this in Abuja, where he read the association’s resolutions, after its 37th Annual General Meeting.
It would be recalled that Resident doctors across Nigeria recently embarked on a nationwide indefinite strike after a meeting of its national leadership with the government delegation failed to reach a meaningful conclusion.
