Taxi drivers caused a stir in Wuse this Wednesday, when they took to the streets protesting against the shooting of a colleague.
They prevented movement in and out of the Wuse market, making commuters and businesses stranded.
It is not clear what led to the gunshot, but the protesting drivers suggest that the shooting was the height of a series of oppression by the security team.
The protesters shutdown the adjourning streets to the market, blocking the movement of vehicles.
At the time of filing this report, it was uncertain if the victim survived the gunshot.
The police declined commenting on the incident, instead they promised to issue a statement.
Although calm has returned to the area, the aggrieved drivers want the FCT Minister to wade into the matter.
