President Muhammadu Buhari has notified the two chambers of the national assembly seeking to present the estimates of the 2018 budget on Tuesday, November 7.
He is expected to present the budget at a joint session of the Lawmakers by 2pm.
This is arguably the first time the President would present the budget proposal before the National Assembly in November since his assumption of office in 2015.
The month of December has always witnessed the annual ritual prior to now and some Nigerians believe the new development will ensure the timely passage of the budget in the fiscal year.
It would be recalled that 2016 Budget was characterized by controversies over the alleged padding which caused delay in the passage and the assent by the president, as well as the suspension of the former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
