Osun State government has assured that baring all circumstances, the first phase of Gbongan-Akoda dual carriage way project will be completed in the next six month.
The 30 kilometre road project was one of the capital projects of Governor Aregbesola awarded in 2013 at the sum of 29 billion naira.
The state Commissioner for works, Kazeem Salami stated this while addressing journalists shortly after inspecting the project to know the level of work done by the contractor.
Salami who said the quality and standard of the project justify the contract sum maintained that governor Aregbesola ramained committed to completing the road for the use of the people.
The contract sum was earlier greeted with hues and cries especially from the major opposition party in the state describing it as outrageous.
