Bayelsa State governor Seriake Dickson has called on Nigerians not to capitalize on the nationwide salary crisis to blackmail governors in the country.
Governor Dickson gave the charge at the opening of a meeting of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council in Yenagoa where he also reiterated the financial autonomy status of Local Government Councils in the State.

Declaring the programme open, the Chief Host and Governor of the State, Seriake Dickson described the organized labour as an integral part of government, translating policies and programmes into realities.
The Bayelsa governor however frowned at politicians capitalizing on the nation wide salary crisis to blackmail the governors.
Speaking on their relationship with government, The National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress and his Trade Union Counterpart reiterate on earlier stance on minimum wage renewal.
The three-day programme ends in Yenagoa on Thursday, the 23rd of November.
