An Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Katsina has nullified the Election of Mansur Ali Mashi of the All Progressive Congress APC for the Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency.
Chairman of the Tribunal, L.M. Boufini says non compliance has affected the results and also the 20th May 2017 Election was Mar with irregularities.
Nazifi Adamu of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, approached the Tribunal on the June 10th 2017 Challenging the victory of Mansur Ali Mashi of the All Progressive Congress APC.
The Tribunal has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to conduct a fresh Elections in 15 Polling Units within the next 90 Days.
Counsel to the INEC says the body has beautifully presented it’s case, while that of the Petitioner expressed delight over the rulings.
