Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami met with a senate committee investigating pension boss Abdulrasheed Maina’s recall.
The meeting was held in private and not in public as earlier requested by Malami.
Malami did not object when Senator Emmanuel Paulker insisted the meeting would be behind closed-door.
He did not speak to journalists when he came out, but will meet with the senators again on Thursday, for the continuation of the investigation.

Senators are probing Malami’s decision to facilitate Maina’s return to Nigeria, and his reinstatement into the civil service.
