The Osun state police command has arrested a 29-year old man, Kehinde Ariyo for allegedly raping an 85-year old woman in Ilesha, Osun State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fimihan Adeoye said, the suspect gained access to the woman’s apartment around 11 o’clock in the night and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The octogenarian according to him sustained severe injuries in her private part which led to her being unconscious.
The suspect, Kehinde Ariyo confessed to the crime saying he was under the influence of alchohol.
Paraded alongside Ariyo were three suspected armed robbery syndicates.
