At least two sacked Catalan officials who accompanied ousted President Carles Puigdemont to Brussels have returned to Barcelona.
Puigdemont who is facing charges of rebellion and sedition was not seen arriving at Barcelona’s Pratt Airport with sacked ministers Joaquim Forn and Dolors Bassa.
The ousted leader has agreed to a snap poll called by Spain’s central government when it took control of the region, but says the fight for independence would go on.
Meanwhile, some Catalans have backed Puigdemont’s decision to remain in Brussels.
