The Senate is to launch an investigation into how twenty six Nigerian ladies died in the Mediterranean sea while illegally migrating to Italy.
The Senate in a resolution after a motion on the matter by Senator Rose Oko asked its Committees on Diaspora, Foreign Affairs and Special Duties, to unravel the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and submit a report in
four weeks.
The Senate says it is horrified at both local and international reports, on the death of the young ladies who were discovered in a Spanish ship with other illegal migrants.
